The Nigerian rapper and singer-songwriter, Vector tha Viper was born as Olanrewaju Ogunmefun in Ogun, Nigeria. He is the fourth child of five children. The Philosophy graduate who is currently signed to the record label, G.R.A.P, is the voice behind the Sprite commercial that has aired on most radio stations across Nigeria since 2009. There is no doubt that he is a versatile artist and has paved a successful path for himself in the entertainment industry both locally and internationally.

1. Vector tha Viper was born as Olanrewaju Ogunmefun in Ogun, Nigeria. He is the fourth child out of five siblings.

2. He schooled in Ijebu Ode Grammar School, Government College Victoria Island and St Gregory’s College.

3. He formed a duo called “Badder Boiz” in 1999, and they started writing their own songs and went on to perform in many events and shows.

4. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy from the University of Lagos.

5. He is the voice behind the Sprite commercial that has aired on most radio stations across Nigeria since 2009.

6. He released a single titled “Get Down” which featured 2Face Idibia in 2011. The single was nominated for Best Mainstream Hip Hop Video at the 2011 Nigerian Music Video Awards.

7. He released his third hit single titled “Born Leader” which featured the Jamaican artist, Mavado. The single topped many music and radio charts both locally and internationally.

8. In August 2013, he was featured by Pheelz on a song titled “Popular” which gained massive airplay in radio stations across Nigeria. His style of rap has been compared to that of rapper Jay-Z.

9. He has worked with prominent names like DJ Xclusive, Timaya, Mavado, Seyi Shay, Wizkid, Ice Prince, 9ice, 2Face Idibia and Oritse Femi to name a few.

10. He has won numerous awards including the Recognition Award by the 2012 Dynamix Youth Awards and he later went on to scoop the Best Rap Single and Lyricist On The Roll award at the 2015 Headies Awards.
