Segun Arinze Responds to Homosexuality Claims in Nollywood
Nigerian actor Segun Padonou Aina, popularly known as Segun Arinze, has weighed in on the ongoing claims of homosexuality in Nollywood. In a candid interview with Arise TV, the 59-year-old veteran actor expressed his thoughts on the matter, stating that he is not involved in any clandestine activities related to homosexuality within the Nigerian film industry.
When asked about the speculations, Segun Arinze responded with a straightforward statement, saying, “I do not bend over, so I cannot react to it. Well, if they do bend over, they should keep bending. That is their problem.”
Despite the ongoing conversation about homosexuality in Nollywood, Segun Arinze made it clear that he is indifferent to such claims. The actor, known for his roles in numerous Nigerian films, expressed his belief that adults have the right to make their own choices, adding, “They are adults and they have a right to do whatever they want to do. It is none of my business.”
Arinze also emphasized his preference for a simple and professional life, saying that he avoids engaging in unnecessary controversies. “I am not going to concern myself with that. I do not like those lash backs, I like living my life straightforward, doing my business and being a professional that I am,” he noted.
