Nasboi Launches Nationwide Campaign to Secure Davido Feature, Plans to Kneel in All 36 States

Fast-rising Afrobeats sensation Nasboi has embarked on one of the boldest and most captivating campaigns in Nigerian music history in a heartfelt bid to land a collaboration with Afrobeats superstar Davido.
The singer, comedian, and viral sensation revealed on Instagram that he will travel across all 36 states of Nigeria, kneeling in front of iconic landmarks in each one, with a single message: a plea for a verse from Davido.
The campaign officially kicked off in Osun State, where Nasboi was pictured holding a placard in front of the Osun State Government Secretariat. The message on the placard was simple but powerful—his request for a feature from Davido, accompanied by a declaration of admiration and persistence.
“In 2019, I started mimicking Davido to get his attention for my music, but the videos blew me up as a comedian… (God’s plan),” Nasboi wrote in the Instagram caption. “I am back to plea with 001. Bless me with a verse for this song king. I will be kneeling across 36 states for 36 days. I pray this dream comes to pass. Please, as a fan of Nasboi, just tag @davido every day when you see the post…”
The bold campaign quickly drew attention online, with thousands of fans tagging Davido. The singer himself responded to the post with a cryptic but humorous “set up 😂”, sparking excitement and speculation over whether the collaboration might happen.
On the second day of the campaign, Nasboi shared a new post from Kano State, where he continued his public plea outside the Kano State Government House. His consistency and sincerity have resonated with fans, turning the campaign into a movement that blends creativity, perseverance, and grassroots engagement.
Nasboi’s determination reflects his journey in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Initially gaining recognition for his spot-on Davido impersonations, he pivoted into music with notable success. Now signed to Eminent Music, he has released several well-received tracks, including Umbrella featuring Wande Coal, Small Money, and Could This Be Love featuring Chike.
His debut EP INIT featured some of the industry’s most respected artists—2Baba, Pheelz, Chike, and Falz—and helped secure him a coveted nomination for the Next Rated category at the 17th Headies Awards.
For Nasboi, a Davido feature would be more than just a career milestone—it would be the fulfillment of a dream that has driven him since his early days. Whether or not he secures the verse, the audacity and creativity of his campaign have already set a new benchmark for aspiring artists in Nigeria’s vibrant music scene.
As fans eagerly follow his journey through Nigeria’s 36 states, the big question remains: will Davido say yes?
