10 Things You Didn’t Know About Waje

Waje was born as Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe on 1 September in Ondo State, Nigeria. She was the first child and the first daughter in her family. She won the Musician of the Year category at the 2013 City People Awards. She is also among the judges for the Voice Nigeria alongside Timi Dakolo, 2Face and Patoranking. She is currently working with the youths of her community through an organisation she calls Waje’s Safe House, where she teams up with other NGOs quarterly to help fight for their cause. There is no doubt that the beautiful vocalist and single mother is definitely putting the bars high for anyone who wishes to compete with her.

7. She participated in the remake of P-Square’s “Omoge Mi” and featured as the female voice in the duo’s 2008 hit track “Do Me”. She was also featured on Banky W’s “Thief My Kele” and M.I’s “One Naira”.
