The exquisite Nollywood actress, director and founder of Jesus Junkie ™Clothing, Weruche Opia was born in Nigeria. She made her professional acting debut in 2010 when she appeared on the hit UK police drama “The Bill”. She has just starred in the last of BBC Three comedy series, Bad Education and is currently the lead in Nigerian RomCom “When Love Happens”. She also starred in the comedy skit, The Lagos Big Girl’s Game, which went on to be one of the top 10 most watched Nigerian videos of 2013. There is no doubt that the exquisite actress and director has definitely paved a successful career for herself in the world of entertainment both in Nigeria and abroad.

1. Weruche Opia was born in Nigeria.

2. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Drama and Sociology from the University of the West of England.

3. She made her professional acting debut in 2010 when she appeared on the hit UK police drama “The Bill”.

4. She later went on to claim roles in a number of theatre productions at The Shakespeare Globe, National Theatre Studios (UK) and Ice and Fire theatre.

5. In September 2010, she joined Renegade Theatre Company, lead by writer and director Wole Oguntokun and featured in a number of plays including; The Inheritors, The Waiting Room and Lady in Purple.

6. She has worked with prominent entertainment stars like OC Ujeje, Desmond Elliot, Wale Ojo, Bukky Wright, Oreka Godis, Beverly Naya, Helen Paul and Gideon Okeke to mention a few.

7. She went on to land a role as series regular on the second series of the Award Winning Channel 4 Drama “Top Boy” as well as a role in Channel 5 commissioned program, Suspects.

8. In 2013, she met with producer Yomi Black to star in a comedy skit “The Lagos Big Girl’s Game” which went on to be one of the top 10 most watched Nigerian videos of 2013.

9. She has just starred as new season regular “Cleopatra” in the last of BBC Three comedy series, Bad Education and is currently the lead in Nigerian RomCom “When Love Happens”.
