Funke Akindele’s Everybody Loves Jenifa Secures Global Theatrical Distribution
Funke Akindele’s latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, has achieved a historic milestone as it becomes the first Nigerian movie to secure theatrical distribution across six continents. While FilmOne Entertainment will handle local distribution, the international rights have been acquired by Nile Media, a rising player in global media distribution.

In an official announcement on Instagram, Nile Media unveiled the film’s global cinema release plans, along with its premiere dates.
“Nile Media Entertainment proudly announces international theatrical distribution for @funkejenifaakindele’s Everybody Loves Jenifa, the first Nigerian film to be released in 30 countries across 6 continents,” the company revealed.
The movie is set to have an exclusive UK premiere at Odeon Cinemas, Greenwich, on December 20, 2024. Other countries on the release list include Italy, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, and Canada, with more locations to follow.
