Mercy Chinwo Addresses Crisis with Former Manager Eezee Concept: “I Know the Truth, and God Sees All”

Nigerian gospel music star Mercy Chinwo has bravely come forward to address the ongoing public dispute with her former manager and music producer, Ezekiel ThankGod, widely known as Eezee Concept. In an emotional video shared on her social media, Mercy detailed her journey with Eezee Concept, shedding light on the legal battles, false rumors, and personal challenges she has faced since parting ways with him.

Mercy began by sharing her work history with Eezee Concept, revealing how their professional relationship evolved over the years. According to the gospel singer, she initially worked with Eezee as a backup singer before eventually signing a contract with his management company. However, things took a turn in 2019 when Eezee proposed extending her five-year contract to twelve years. Mercy declined, expressing her desire to move on and no longer be under his management.

This decision reportedly led to tensions between the two, and Mercy claimed that Eezee became hostile, even resorting to threats that made her feel unsafe in Lagos, prompting her to relocate to Port Harcourt for peace of mind. She also alleged that Eezee attempted to control her professional relationships, including refusing to allow her to perform for certain church pastors, including Pastor Jerry of Streams of Joy.

In the video, Mercy also touched on the personal attacks she has faced, accusing Eezee of using paid bloggers to spread damaging rumors about her, particularly concerning the paternity of her son. She revealed that the rumors began after she collaborated on a song with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, whom Eezee reportedly disapproved of.

Despite the intense challenges, Mercy emphasized her faith, stating that although she has been unjustly criticized and labeled, she knows the truth and trusts in God’s justice. “I know the truth, and I know my God sees all. He is the God of justice, and He must arise for my sake,” she said, quoting Psalm 94:1-2. Mercy also expressed how difficult this situation has been for her, but she finds solace in the belief that God will vindicate her.

The video quickly went viral, with many fans and followers expressing their support for Mercy. Many praised her courage for speaking out and sharing her side of the story, while others sympathized with her for the emotional toll the ordeal has taken. The hashtag #IStandWithMercyChinwo trended on social media as fans rallied behind the singer.

Mercy concluded the video by leaving everything in God’s hands, trusting that He will fight for her and reveal the truth. She shared the clip with the message, “My heart cries out to Him because I believe He will fight for me and make the truth known.”

As the controversy continues to unfold, Mercy Chinwo’s unwavering faith and determination to clear her name have resonated with many, further solidifying her place as one of Nigeria’s most beloved gospel artists.
