Nemsia Studios Unveils Official Trailer for Suky, Premiering on Prime Video March 7

Following the success of Breath of Life, With Difficulty Comes Ease, and Soft Love, Nemsia Studios has released the official trailer for its latest project, Suky. This highly anticipated film, directed by Ola Cardoso and produced by Bamidele Adelusi, is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 7, 2025.
A Star-Studded Cast and a Gritty Storyline
Suky brings together a powerhouse ensemble cast, featuring James Damilare, Tobi Bakare, Olarotimi Fakunle, Femi Adebayo, Bimbo Ademoye, Ibrahim Yekini, and Boma Akpore. The film promises an intense, action-packed drama set in the brutal underground world of Dambe boxing, a traditional Nigerian combat sport.
At its core, Suky is a tale of vengeance, redemption, and the fight for freedom. The story follows a man whose life is upended by a devastating betrayal. Born into the legacy of a legendary boxer, he is forced to navigate a dark path where survival depends on his ability to fight. Inside a notorious prison, he stumbles upon a high-stakes Dambe boxing tournament—where victory is his only way out.
As he faces ruthless opponents in the deadly ring, Suky must battle both physical adversaries and his inner demons. The question remains: Will he conquer his past and claim his freedom, or will the weight of his struggles be his ultimate downfall?
A Story Beyond the Ring
According to director Ola Cardoso, Suky is more than just a combat-driven thriller—it’s a deep exploration of manhood, vengeance, and redemption.
“This film isn’t just about the fight inside the ring; it’s about the fight within—a man’s struggle between vengeance and redemption,” Cardoso shared. “We wanted to create a story that isn’t just physically intense but emotionally gripping.”
Nemsia Studios co-founder BB Sasore highlights the significance of Suky in Nollywood’s evolution, calling it a bold and unapologetically raw cinematic experience.
“Suky is a testament to the evolving landscape of African cinema—gritty, powerful, and deeply character-driven,” Sasore said. “We’re excited to bring this film to a global audience and showcase a side of Nigerian storytelling that is both visceral and thought-provoking.”
With its gripping storyline, intense fight sequences, and deep emotional core, Suky is shaping up to be one of Nollywood’s most thrilling films of the year. Fans can now mark their calendars for March 7, 2025, as the countdown to Suky begins!
