Burna Boy Adds Another SNEP Certification to His Collection

Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy continues to solidify his global dominance as he earns another prestigious SNEP certification. The singer recently received a new platinum certification from the French music certification board for his collaboration with French hitmaker Dadju on the song ‘Donne-Moi L’accord.’

Originally released in 2019, ‘Donne-Moi L’accord’ has enjoyed remarkable commercial success, particularly in digital streaming, where it has surpassed 50 million streams on Spotify. This latest milestone further cements Burna Boy’s position as one of Africa’s most influential artists on the global stage.

This achievement marks another certification for Burna Boy in 2025, a year that has already seen him earn an RIAA gold certification for ‘Alone,’ a standout track from the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack album. The song, which features a soulful and emotional performance from Burna Boy, was nominated for Best Global Song Performance at the 2023 Grammys. ‘Alone’ has accumulated an impressive 164 million Spotify streams, making it the second most streamed song on the soundtrack, only behind Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up.’

With this latest recognition, Burna Boy now boasts six RIAA certifications, four of which are for solo records. His commercial success continues to reinforce his reputation as one of Africa’s premier global music exports.

Looking ahead, the 10-time Grammy nominee is gearing up for a busy 2025. Fans eagerly anticipate the release of his highly awaited eighth studio album, ‘No Sign of Weakness.’ The album has already been teased with the singles ‘Higher,’ which earned a nomination for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards, ‘Bundle By Bundle,’ which dropped in December 2024, and ‘Update,’ released in February 2025.

Burna Boy also made history as the first artist to cover Billboard France Magazine. In the exclusive interview, he reflected on the international success of Nigerian music and his role as a driving force in the industry. His impact on the global scene remains unparalleled, with his last four albums all receiving Grammy nominations.

Additionally, Burna Boy holds the record as the first Nigerian artist to have three albums surpass 500 million Spotify streams. As he prepares to release ‘No Sign of Weakness,’ all eyes are on him to see if he can extend his streak of critically acclaimed and commercially successful projects.

Burna Boy’s influence and achievements continue to push the boundaries of African music on the global stage, proving once again that he is a force to be reckoned with.
