The gorgeous Nigerian DJ and music producer, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola popular known as DJ Cuppy was born in Lagos, Nigeria to Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola. The Nigerian Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Edem Duke appointed her as the tourism ambassador for the country’s “Fascinating Nigeria” campaign in 2014. She is currently enrolled at the New York University in pursuit of a Masters Degree in Music Business and also an intern at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about the gorgeous Nigerian DJ and music producer, DJ Cuppy:

1. Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola popluar known as DJ Cuppy was born in Lagos, Nigeria to Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola.

2. He holds a Degree in Business and Economics from the King’s College London. She is currently enrolled at the New York University in pursuit of a Masters Degree in Music Business.

3. She began her career at the age of 16 as a DJ in London and by buying second-hand equipment’s and playing in clubs.

4. In 2014, she was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban. She also launched Red Velvet Music Group, a music management and content production business in the same year.

5. She then played at the Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball in London and at the Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico City.

6. In July 2014, she released her first compilation mix titled “House of Cuppy” in both London and Lagos. She then later launched it in New York City on September 2014.

7. In April 2014, she was appointed by Nigeria’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation as the tourism ambassador for the country’s “Fascinating Nigeria” campaign.

8. In January 2015, she was featured on the cover of the Guardian Life as a new generation African woman. She also won the Best Female DJ award at the 2015 NEA Awards.

9. In March 2015, she was the official DJ for the 2015 Oil Barons Charity in Dubai and the first African act to have ever performed at the event.

10. She is currently an intern at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. She was featured in the 2015 April/May issue of Forbes Woman Africa.
