Eedris Abdulkareem Calls Out Seyi Tinubu Over His Praise for President Tinubu Amid National Hardships

Veteran Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem has taken a swipe at Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following his recent remarks describing his father as the greatest president in Nigeria’s history.

Seyi Tinubu made the statement while addressing a gathering of youths in Adamawa State, and a video of his speech went viral on Monday, March 17, 2025, sparking widespread reactions. In his address, Seyi defended his father’s leadership, asserting that despite criticism, the president remains committed to national progress.

“It was never politics, but they keep coming for me, they keep coming for my family, they keep coming for your father, and they keep coming for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the greatest president in the history of Nigeria,” Seyi said.

He further credited his father with keeping Nigerian youths engaged, fostering a beneficial economy, and prioritizing national interests over personal gain.

“The only president that created an economy that has benefitted everybody, the only president that is not trying to enrich his own pocket,” he added.

Eedris Abdulkareem Responds in a Fiery Song

In reaction, Eedris Abdulkareem released a new song condemning Seyi’s statements and urging him to convey the real struggles of Nigerians to his father. The veteran singer, known for his outspoken activism through music, did not hold back in his lyrics.

He criticized the worsening economic conditions, insecurity, and unfulfilled promises, calling on Seyi to experience life without privilege.

“Seyi, tell your papa country hard. Tell your papa people dey die. Tell your papa this one don pass jagajaga. Seyi, how far? I swear your papa no try. Too much empty promises. On behalf of Nigerians, take our message to him; kidnappers dey kill Nigerians,” Abdulkareem sang.

The artist also challenged Seyi to travel by road without security to understand the daily struggles of ordinary Nigerians.

“Seyi, try travel by road without your security make you feel the pains of fellow Nigerians. You dey fly private jets, insecurity no be your problem,” he added.

Abdulkareem’s reaction reflects the growing frustration among Nigerians over economic hardships and security concerns, as many citizens continue to call for urgent solutions to the country’s challenges.
