Zulu King says foreigners must go

Kwazulu- “South Africa belongs to all those who live it”, so says the promise of one of the greatest document produced on the African continent, the freedom charter.

This document speaks of a great vision that the fathers of this land saw for its people. On the day that this document was produced, south Africa sa the light and the sun started to shine again on this beautiful land.

The last couple of years has seen darkness becoming to creep in slowly, this especially the issue of xenophobia, which simply means the fear (hatred) of foreigners.

Addressing the community meeting recently, King Goodwill Zwelithini expressed his views on, what we could only term as the invasion of foreigners in South Africa.

“We are requesting those who come from outside to please go back to their countries. I know you were in their countries during the struggle for liberation. But the fact of the matter is you did not set up businesses in their countries,” said the king. We can only assume that he is reffering to African foreigners who are generally victims of the crimes.

The king who is supposed to be seen as a uniting figure is now dividing the people, every person who steps on his “kingdom” should be under his protection but this is not the case.

In fact, does Africa still need these people who don’t contribute to the growth and development of the county but are caught up in traditions which don’t benefit anybody but themselves?

Africa belongs to all those who live in it. The idea of African unity is a powerful one.
