One of the album’s most anticipated collaborations will be with two of Nigeria’s biggest stars: Adekunle Gold and Omah Lay. The two artists spoke about their partnership, describing the song they worked on as a perfect collaboration, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
Davido has also given fans a sneak peek into the album during a Twitch live stream with Nigerian alternative music star and content creator, Cruel Santino. In the Twitch session, Davido also shared the inspiration behind the title of his new album. He explained that the name Five holds significant personal meaning to him. In addition, veteran producer Selebobo is credited with producing one of the tracks on the album, further adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
Although the album was originally slated for release on March 15, 2024, it has now been rescheduled for April 18, 2024. The delay has only added to the anticipation surrounding the release of what promises to be one of the most impactful albums in Nigerian music history.
