Davido’s ‘5ive’ Debuts at No. 1 on UK Spotify Album Chart in Global Milestone

In another groundbreaking achievement, Afrobeats megastar Davido has secured the top spot on the UK Spotify album chart with his fifth studio album, 5ive. The feat marks a significant international milestone for the Nigerian singer, further establishing his dominance on the global music scene.

Released on April 18, 2025, 5ive has enjoyed immediate success, debuting with the second highest opening week for an album on Spotify Nigeria. The momentum continues as the project claims the summit position on the UK streaming chart, underscoring Davido’s cross-continental appeal.

The 17-track album is a star-studded collection of musical collaborations that stretch across genres and regions. It features some of Nigeria’s brightest stars, including Omah Lay, Victony, OdumoduBlvck, and Chike—who appears on the standout track Fund. Davido also brings in heavyweights from the Caribbean, with appearances by Jamaican hitmaker YG Marley on the lead single Awuke, dancehall queen Shensea, and rising star 450.

International contributions continue with American R&B icon and frequent collaborator Chris Brown, three-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét, Latin pop sensation Becky G, and French chart-toppers Dadju and Tayc.
