Iyabo Ojo Called Out for Allegedly Carrying Fake Louis Vuitton Bag

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has found herself under scrutiny after a fashion watchdog accused her of carrying a counterfeit Louis Vuitton bag. The controversy erupted after Instagram account @T20luxury, known for exposing fake luxury goods, shared a post comparing Iyabo’s bag with an authentic LV monogram camera box bag.
Fashion Police Expose Iyabo Ojo
The post featured side-by-side images highlighting discrepancies in design, including irregular stitching and logo placement. These inconsistencies led the page to conclude that Iyabo’s bag was not a genuine Louis Vuitton product.
@T20luxury, which has built a reputation for calling out counterfeit fashion items, pointed out that the alleged fake lacked the signature craftsmanship associated with the high-end brand. The account also claimed that similar counterfeit versions of the bag were available on certain online stores, while the original retails for approximately $8,800 (almost 14 million Naira).
This is not the first time Nigerian celebrities have faced scrutiny over their luxury items. T20luxury previously called out singer Kcee for a similar issue, but Iyabo Ojo’s case has gained traction due to her high profile in Nollywood and her influence on social media.

The public revelation has ignited conversations about authenticity in celebrity fashion and the pressure public figures face to maintain a high-end image. Fans have taken to social media to share mixed reactions, with some defending the actress while others criticized the alleged use of counterfeit fashion.
While Iyabo Ojo has yet to respond to the allegations, the incident has once again highlighted the growing scrutiny of celebrities’ fashion choices in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
