Maggi Set to Premiere Ramadan-Themed Series ‘Tales of Ramadan’ Across Nigeria

Maggi is set to launch its new Ramadan-themed television series, Tales of Ramadan, a six-part drama that will air on multiple terrestrial and cable TV stations across Nigeria. Viewers can catch the series on popular channels such as Zee World, Africa Magic, and NTA, among others.

Produced by Conceptified Media, the series is helmed by acclaimed filmmakers Josh Olaoluwa and Orire Nwani. Set in Northern Nigeria, Tales of Ramadan delves into the lives of different families, weaving together themes of family, friendship, and food during the holy month. With its rich storytelling and cultural depth, the series aims to provide a heartfelt and immersive viewing experience for audiences.

Directed by Orire Nwani and shot by renowned cinematographer Davidson ‘Fedworks’ Edeogu, Tales of Ramadan is scheduled to begin airing on March 1, 2025, across ten Nigerian TV stations. The production team includes producers Josh Olaoluwa, Ifeoluwa Fatogun, and Hope Eniayekan, while the screenplay is written by Tomi Folowosele.

The series boasts a stellar cast, featuring Uzee Usman, Ummi Baba Ahmed, Ijapari Ben-Hirki, and Adam Garba, all of whom bring depth and authenticity to their roles.

This project marks another milestone for Conceptified Media, following the duo’s growing recognition both locally and internationally. Their work has been acknowledged by prestigious platforms such as Film Independent, Venice Film Festival, Torino Film Lab, Red Sea Foundation, and Slamdance.

Orire Nwani, a filmmaker known for his unique storytelling style, has previously directed acclaimed projects such as the award-winning Love and Seclusion, the YouTube hit drama series All of Us, the AMVCA-nominated T’egbon T’aburo, and Amazon Prime’s Grind.

With Tales of Ramadan, Maggi continues its tradition of celebrating cultural heritage through storytelling, offering a series that reflects the essence of Ramadan while resonating with audiences across Nigeria.
