Nasboi Clarifies Signing Rumors, Confirms Commitment to Eminent Music

Nigerian Afrobeats star Nasboi has addressed recent speculation surrounding his alleged signing with CREAM Platform, a company owned by Nigerian music legend D’banj that specializes in distribution and gaming services. The news, which spread across various digital platforms, suggested that Nasboi had officially joined the platform. However, in a swift response, Eminent Music, the label to which Nasboi is signed, has debunked these claims.
In an official press release shared by Nasboi on his social media, he clarified that his relationship with CREAM Platform is strictly in an ambassadorial capacity and that he remains contractually signed to Eminent Music and ONErpm, the global music distribution company responsible for his releases.
Setting the Record Straight
Eminent Music’s statement emphasized that Nasboi has been signed to the label since February 2023, and his music distribution is solely handled by ONErpm. The label acknowledged Nasboi’s growing influence as both a content creator and musician, highlighting that his collaborations with brands and platforms like CREAM Platform are strictly partnerships, rather than label signings.
“Nasboi is a celebrated entertainer with unique characterization. His versatile artistry has distinguished him as a recognized content creator and magical influencer, which is why he is widely sought after by both local and international brands. However, as far as his fast-evolving and successful musical career is concerned, Nasboi is currently contractually signed to Eminent Music and ONErpm,” the statement read.
The label also reassured fans, partners, and industry stakeholders that the relationship between Eminent Music and Nasboi remains strong, despite misleading reports. They urged the public to disregard any claims that suggest otherwise.
Nasboi’s Meteoric Rise Under Eminent Music
Since signing with Eminent Music, Nasboi has experienced a rapid ascent in the Nigerian music industry. His viral hits, including ‘Umbrella’ featuring Afrobeats legend Wande Coal and ‘Could This Be Love’ featuring award-winning singer Chike, have solidified his status as a rising star. Both singles are featured on his star-studded debut EP, ‘INIT’, which further expanded his fan base.
Nasboi’s success has also earned him industry recognition, as he recently secured a Next Rated nomination at the 17th Headies Awards. He will be competing for the prestigious title alongside rap sensations OdumoduBlvck and Shallipopi, as well as street-hop star Ayo Maff.
Beyond streaming numbers and hit singles, Nasboi also made history in December 2024 when he headlined a sold-out concert, marking a significant milestone in his career.
With the Next Rated award nomination and growing anticipation for his next musical move, Nasboi is positioned as one of Nigeria’s most promising stars. While brand partnerships like his ambassadorship with CREAM Platform contribute to his industry influence, his journey as an artist remains firmly rooted under Eminent Music and ONErpm.
