Rema’s ‘Charm’ Goes Platinum in France, Marking Another Milestone for the Afrobeats Star

Afrobeats sensation Rema has added another major milestone to his growing list of international achievements. His hit single Charm has officially been certified platinum in France by the SNEP (Syndicat National de l’Édition Phonographique), further cementing his status as one of the most globally celebrated Nigerian artists.

Released as one of the standout tracks from his debut album Rave & Roses, Charm becomes Rema’s third single to receive a platinum certification in France, following the success of Soundgasm and Dumebi. In total, this marks Rema’s fourth SNEP certification in the country, including the record-breaking Calm Down, which earned a prestigious diamond certification—one of only nine songs to achieve diamond status in France.

The new certification highlights Rema’s growing dominance in the European music market and reflects the continued global resonance of Afrobeats. With four certified hits, Rema ranks as one of the most awarded Nigerian artists in France, just behind Burna Boy, who holds the record with nine SNEP certifications.

This achievement arrives during what has already been a landmark year for Rema. In 2025, he has been actively touring as part of his HEIS tour, thrilling fans with headline performances in iconic venues, including the 20,000-seat Accor Arena in Paris and the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York.

Rema’s sophomore album HEIS has also garnered critical acclaim, earning him his first-ever Grammy nomination for Best Global Album. He was also recently nominated for Best International Act at the 2025 BET Awards, reflecting his growing influence on the global stage.

At home, Rema continued to dominate the Nigerian music scene. At the 17th Headies Awards, he received 11 nominations and walked away with two major wins for Best Afrobeats Album and Best Album.
