Tacha Expresses Disappointment Over Nigerians in the UK Ignoring Her and Recording Instead

Reality TV star and influencer, Tacha, has voiced her disappointment over the way Nigerians in the UK treated her during a recent outing. In a video shared online, the former Big Brother Naija housemate revealed her frustration after running into several Nigerians who failed to acknowledge her presence. Instead of offering a simple hello, many chose to pull out their phones and record her.

Tacha expressed her disbelief, saying, “You guys won’t believe the number of Nigerians I saw today, which is great, but the crazy part is that they would see you and not say hi to you. So it’s like you see me and you’re not saying hi.”

She shared that it was a different experience when locals, including white people, saw her on the streets. According to Tacha, many of them acknowledged her with compliments, with some even taking the time to say she looked beautiful, including a high school student and an elderly man. She contrasted this with the behavior of Nigerians, who, rather than greeting her, opted to record her with their phones.

“I can’t count how many white people who saw me and gave me compliments, said I looked beautiful. Including a high school kid and an old man. I can’t even start to list the people who said I looked good but the crazy thing is the Nigerians. They saw me and what came into their heads to do was to pick their phones up to record me,” she added.

In a final message, Tacha warned people against recording her if they weren’t going to engage with her. “Let me sound this warning clearly: if you see me on the road and don’t say hi to me, I don’t need it, I won’t say hi either. But when you see me on the road, don’t bring your phone out to record me.”

Her video sparked conversations online, with many expressing support for her sentiments while others reflected on the behavior of fans and onlookers in public spaces. Tacha’s message serves as a reminder about the importance of basic human interaction and respect for personal space.
