The globally acclaimed singer captivated thousands of fans with a selection of her hit singles, joining a star-studded lineup that included PartyNextDoor and other major artists at the annual festival curated by J. Cole.
Tems and J. Cole took their collaboration to the stage, performing Free Fall from her highly anticipated debut album, Born In The Wild. Their joint performance was a major highlight of the event, showcasing their musical chemistry in front of an ecstatic crowd.
Her performance at Dreamville comes just weeks after she mesmerized fans in South Africa during a stop on her Born In The Wild concert tour, further solidifying her status as one of Africa’s biggest stars.
Since achieving global recognition in 2020, Tems has continued to soar as one of the most sought-after African artists. Earlier this year, she graced the stage at London’s O2 Arena for the unveiling of Aston Martin’s latest Formula 1 car, reinforcing her presence on the international stage.
The year 2025 has already proven to be a milestone period for the singer. She won her second Grammy at the 67th ceremony, securing the award for Best African Song Performance. Additionally, she recently earned four new RIAA certifications, further cementing her commercial success.
As she continues her global dominance, Tems remains a trailblazer for African women in music. In celebration of Women’s History Month, Spotify recognized her alongside Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr and South African Grammy winner Tyla as African female global stars breaking barriers.
With a strong start to 2025, Tems is expected to maintain her upward trajectory as one of the continent’s most influential musical exports.
