Tems Thrills Fans in South Africa with Electrifying ‘Born In The Wild’ Concert

Nigerian international superstar Tems delivered an unforgettable performance at the South African stop of her Born In The Wild world tour. The Grammy-winning singer captivated fans at The Dome, Nasrec in Johannesburg, a newly opened venue with a 6,000-seat capacity.
Tems treated the audience to a spectacular setlist featuring some of her biggest hits, mesmerizing fans with her signature vocals and soulful stage presence. In addition to her performance, she engaged with excited supporters in a meet-and-greet session, further strengthening her bond with her South African fan base.
South Africa marks the first African stop on Tems’ Born In The Wild tour after she previously canceled a scheduled show in Kigali, Rwanda. The singer announced the cancellation on January 30 via her X account, citing her unawareness of the ongoing political tensions between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Tems’ decision was widely praised by both South African and Congolese fans, as she expressed her regret if her earlier promotion of the Kigali concert seemed insensitive. She also extended her thoughts to those affected by the conflict, reinforcing her commitment to being mindful of global issues.
The Born In The Wild tour follows the release of her critically acclaimed debut album of the same name, which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album.
2025 has been an eventful year for the singer, as she secured her second Grammy win at the 67th Grammy Awards in the Best African Song Performance category. She also recently performed at the O2 Arena during the unveiling of Aston Martin’s new car for the 2025 Formula 1 season, a moment that further cemented her status as one of Africa’s biggest global stars.
With her Born In The Wild tour in full swing, fans worldwide eagerly anticipate more electrifying performances from the Nigerian sensation.
