The American born actress, writer and director, Adepero Oduye was born in Brooklyn, New York to Nigerian parents into a family of seven siblings. She broke into limelight in 2011 when she starred in the acclaimed and award-winning independent film, Pariah, for which she received several awards and a nomination for Best Female Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards. She made her Broadway debut opposite Cicely Tyson in Horton Foote’s, The Trip To Bountiful. The versatile American-Nigerian actress, writer and director has definitely paved a successful path for himself in the international entertainment scene by starring in blockbuster movies with prominent entertainment stars.
