Wizkid and Davido Win Big at the 2025 NAACP Awards

Nigerian music superstars Wizkid and Davido emerged victorious at the recently concluded NAACP Awards, further cementing their global impact on the music industry.
Wizkid took home the award for Best Contemporary Duo or Group for his hit single Piece of My Heart featuring American R&B star Brent Faiyaz. The track, which is part of his record-breaking sixth studio album Morayo, made history as the highest-streamed song on Spotify Nigeria on its opening day.
Meanwhile, Davido won Best International Song for his collaboration with Chris Brown on HMMM. Over the years, Davido and Chris Brown have built a strong musical partnership, and this marks their second NAACP award together, following their 2024 win for Sensational in the Best Contemporary Duo category.
These wins reflect the continued dominance of Afrobeats on the global stage, as Nigerian artists keep making history in international award shows.
