The Nigerian politician and actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo was born on 6 July 1961 in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He was the former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria. He won the 2005 Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and received his first producer and writer credit for his work on the Nigerian film titled “Out of Bounds”. The 54-years-old politician and actor has definitely been a source of inspiration and encouragement to many youths in Nigerian and across Africa.

3. He attended Midwest College, Warri and Anglican Grammar School and was a member of the Drama Club.
4. He enrolled into the University of Benin to continue his education and studied Theatre Arts. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Lagos in 2004.
5. After graduating from university, he took part in a television soap opera in the late 80’s called “Ripples” and was also a reporter for Metro Magazine and Concord Newspaper.
