Factors That Slowly Kill A Romantic Relationship [2]
We all want to believe that the relationship we are in is the healthiest and in the best shape possible. We might even be right about that assertion at this very moment. What we don’t realize is that there are a number of things we can do that will take that healthy relationship and turn it upside down. Sometimes there is a lurch towards suddenly being in trouble. Other times, its a slow crawl from “in love” to “in annoyance”, to “in hate”.But before a relationship would hit an all time low, there are things that can kill a relationship. These are highlights that could lead it there.
If you want to make sure your relationship stays healthy, avoid these things:
4. Lies
Well, this cannot be overstretched. The more you lie to your partner, the lesser he/she trust you, and when trust is gone in a relationship, that’s trouble!
5. Being Unnecessarily Critical
No one is perfect. There’s nothing wrong with making suggestions if you’re trying to help your boyfriend or girlfriend through something, but constantly scrutinizing and judging his or her every move is eventually going to become grating. No one wants their character to be questioned at every turn, and it’s unlikely (s)he’ll put up with your negative attitude for long.
6. Taking your Partner for Granted
Married couples have taken a lifetime vow to love and care for one another, and while this does not always work out, the original sentiment is almost universally heartfelt and genuine. It is all too easy for even happy and contented relationships to become stale, however, especially if you begin to take your partner for granted and fail to appreciate the qualities that you initially fell in love with all those years’ ago. For a relationship to remain happy and satisfied, you must continue to prove your love and appreciation throughout the duration of your time together.
