The out of body experience
Have you heard of an out of body experience? Out of body experiences (OBEs or OOBEs) involve the vivid sensation of moving outside your physical body and sometimes traveling far beyond it.
This is most likely to occur while you are asleep, meditating or some have even claimed to have died. Many dream explorers agree that it is part of the lucid dream experience.
It is generally unbelievable what people claim to see when they return from their trip from “the other side” where ever that might be. None so unbelievable than the Boston priest from Massachusetts, who died for 48 hours, came back to life claims to have seen God, and guess what? God is a woman. “I wish to continue preaching” says the elderly cleric. “I would like to share my new knowledge of the Mother, the Son and the Holy Ghost with all Catholics and even all Christians. God is great and almighty despite being a woman…”
He says that he remembers clearly what happened in to him while he was dead. He speaks clearly of his out of body experience as “an intense feeling of unconditional love and acceptance, as well as being surrounded by an overwhelming light.”
Within African perspective, there is one way of looking at it. In most African culture this could be associated with witchcraft. Imagine an African child walking up to his mother and claiming to have had an out of body experience. He will be prayed by the priests, pastors and the rest of it.
Another case is that there was a funeral in Gambia, the person who died was a well-loved person, father of 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls. He had a pharmacy and was planning on opening a clinic. His death was said to be sudden. So, on his funeral, his community cried as they remembered his good deeds. He suddenly awoke from his sleep and realised that he was in coffin. Everybody that saw him get out of the coffin ranaway and left him. Begs the question as to why did they leave him because a few minutes earlier they wanted him back but as he returned, their imaginations kicked in and in unison they fled.
You will probably wonder why, it is viewed differently within African culture. Therefore ask yourself this question, how do witches travel? I heard of stories where person in Paris had a visit from his uncle who was meant to be back in Africa, he made that travel without a plane ticket a visa. He made an appearance in his home to give him a message then “flew” back home. Africans believe that witches use the out-of-body experience to reach their destinations. What is the truth?
