Newcastle University Nigeria Postgraduate Scholarships In The U.K.
Newcastle University is offering scholarships for pursuing postgraduate master’s degree programs. Scholarships are available for Nigerian applicants in UK.

Applicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. They will need to provide a recognised English language test or qualification unless they are exempt. This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate master’s degree programmes at Newcastle University.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to learn any of the courses by the university.
Scholarship Award: The full scholarship covers: £5,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Eligibility: In order to apply for one of these scholarships applicants must satisfy all of the following conditions:
-applicants must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Nigeria
-applicants must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship
-applicants have a Second Class Upper degree or higher from a recognised Nigerian University
-applicants must have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes
-applicants must intend to register to start their studies during the 2016-17 academic year
-applicants must be a self-funded student and not be in receipt of any other centrally awarded Newcastle University scholarship
Nationality: Nigerian applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: The university offers a number of partial scholarship awards to encourage well-qualified graduates to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate study at Newcastle University. To be considered for an award, applicants should have applied to study as an undergraduate or postgraduate degree student at the university. Applicants must be assessed as international (overseas) for fees purposes. UK students and EU students assessed as ‘home’ for fees purposes are not eligible to apply.
English Language Requirements: Applicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. -Applicants need to include a copy of their English language test certificate when they apply for their course. If they don’t have it yet they need to send it to us as soon as they receive it. Universities accept scanned versions or photocopies. If they need an original certificate they will ask applicants.
Supporting Material: When applicants submit their application, they should include copies of certificates or transcripts to confirm their degree or highest qualification. If any of their documents are in another language they will need to supply certified English language translations. If they are from outside the EU, they will also need to include a copy of the personal details page from their passport. They do not need to send any pre-university qualification documentation, non-translated documents or non-academic certificates of achievement. If university make applicants an offer, they may ask them to provide the original copies or certified copies of any documents applicants included with their application. They would normally bring these documents with them to Registration.
