Job Opportunity: Key Account Manager

JOB TITLE – KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
REPORTS TO: GM, COMMERCIAL SERVICES

This job seeks to increase market share by maintaining and developing existing accounts while it seeks to acquire new ones. It focuses on growth and the attainment of organizational goals in an efficient and effective manner in keeping with the financial bottom line.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintaining existing client relationships and ensuring that there are continued business transactions from the clients
  2. Analyze potential partner relationships for Company’s product lines
  3. Responsible for end to end sales; from initial contact and understanding of client needs to delivery and closure
  4. Maintain the CRM database of the organization, utilizing it as a tool to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability
  5. Ensuring effective, brand marketing communications, including the company website, print communication, and advertising
  6. Managing media and marketing staff and external PR agencies
  7. Initiate and develop client relationships  to drive customer satisfaction
  8. Drive sales for all of Company’s products and services
  9. Identify new and strategic business opportunities in alignment with the vision of the organization
  10. Develop innovative proposals and presentations that clearly demonstrate the unique value of Company’s solutions
  11. Represent the organization in all presentations, meetings, fairs, conferences and such like
  12. Be responsible for training (as Trainer), coaching, mentoring and human capacity development of staff and external training delegates
  13. Researching and evaluating new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights
  14. Act as first point of contact for all enquiries regarding Company’s services and provide a first response to such enquiries ensuring follow up to possible closure
  15. Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for the existing products.
  16. Analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts
  17. Working with product development teams to manage new product development for clients
  18. Managing communication channels for product distribution to clients

  3. Number of Active Customers

Financial Efficiency

  1. Net Margin Target
  2. Commercial Department OPEX

People/ Capability

  1. Customer (Key Account)  Management to deliver Business Targets
  2. Customer Satisfaction Index (CSAT)

Requirements

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  2. MBA is an added advantage University degree and MBA
  3. Membership of relevant professional bodies preferred
  4. Minimum of 5 years in post graduate

Functional/ Technical:

  1. Report Writing
  2. Sales and Negotiation skills
  3. Project management
  4. MS Office suite – average/above average proficiency

Managerial:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  2. Result oriented
  3. Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  4. Energetic, highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently and productively.
  5. Professional disposition and ability to maintain confidentiality
  6. Proactive and solution minded attitude
  7. Target driven
  8. Ability to work under little or no supervision
