Nigerian Hermaphrodite Cries Out for Help
A certain Nigerian man by name Oluwaseun Samuel Fajilade with both male and female sex organs has reached out to a foundation for help. The 29 year old is an indigene of Ekiti State, Western Nigeria. He is a hermaphrodite who would love to be operated upon to keep his male organ only.
Samuel Fajilade was born on March 16, 1987, as a male. Between the ages of 12 and 15, women’s breasts began forming, replacing the normal man’s chest. It is a real challenge to find an identity for the person with both genitalia. As concerns Fajilade, he is not menstruating and he sees himself as a man.
The Divine Favour Foundation will be handling the case. The organisation provided photo evidence to SimonAtebaNews and had a heart breaking conversation with the famous publisher. The leader of the foundation, Oluwaseun David Funmilayo told Simon Ateba this week in Lagos that Fajilade was in desperate need for financial support from the public for a surgical operation.
According to the definition from Biology, an hermaphrodite is an organism that has reproductive organs normally associated with both ,ale and female sexes. About one in every 2,000 babies born alive have ambiguous genitalia. In cases like this, the parents might make the decision to put their child through surgery to determine a physical gender, or they might opt to wait until the child is older and can decide for themselves which gender is dominant in their body and mind.
It is unknown yet what the fate of Fajilade, the Nigerian hermaphrodite would be. However what is certain is the fact that he does not want to be a woman. He wants to remain a man and hence wants the woman parts removed from his body.
